Stephanie Clairmont, MHSc, RDStephanie is a registered dietitian and nutrition coach living & working in Waterloo Region. Stephanie completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition and a Master's degree in Community Nutrition from the University of Toronto. She has spent time working in a variety of settings including public health, food industry, family health teams, hospitals and not-for-profit community organizations. In 2011, Stephanie completed a culinary certificate from Liaison College and currently works at New Vision Family Health Team as well as in private practice under her company name Whole Food Therapy. Stephanie is an active member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada.
Stephanie has over 500 hours of experience teaching cooking classes to children, teenagers and adults. She has taught cooking classes at not-for-profits, in grocery stores, in client's homes, on television and on stage at community shows. In 2010, Stephanie's program Kids in the Community Kitchen (KICK), developed for a not-for-profit in Alliston, Ontario, won the NATIONAL Speaking of Food & Healthy Living Award at the DC National Conference. Stephanie believes that good, wholesome food is the true key to health, from the way food is grown all the way to how it is presented on the plate. Stephanie incorporates recipes and discussions about local, sustainable, seasonal & healthy food with clients in her daily practice. She is passionate about showing the world how healthy food can be delicious one bite at a time! |
